...9 Repton Boys Through to Finals !

This weekend 12 boys travelled down to Portsmouth to take part in the Semi-Finals of the National Schoolboy Championships. On Saturday 5 boys boxed and Rakim Tatou got a bye into the Final. John Lee, Jamil Khan, Henry Turner and Levi Lee all won in fine Repton style. Tommy Ball lost his his fight on a split decision on which many believe should have gone his way!

...Sunday got off to a disastrous start. Jessie Beck and Ben Gentle both lost thier bouts on majority decisions. Tough little Michael Oats boxed with his usual aggresive dominating style, but lost which many ringside punters thought was a Controversial, iffy verdict!   ...3 down so far!

Next up Jessie Dean Harris, Levi Coates and Paddy Ward, boxed well and won their bouts in fine Repton style, making up for the dodgy start to the day. These results helped to give the Club a total of 9 boys through to the Finals!

Congratulations to the boys who won their bouts and helped to make a record of 9 Repton Boxers through to the Finals of the National Schoolboy Championships. As for the boys who got beat, they gave thier all and did their very Best, but the judges had the final say. All our boys get into the ring wanting to win which is why they will win next time!
