Part 4 'Boxing Greats..."The Pound for Pound Greatest" & other Greats to study.

To carry on from last weeks instalment,  I would like to cover, who I feel in my opinion is The 'Greatest Pound for pound' around today...

I think the best pound for pound fighter around now is Floydmayweather. Mayweather is like one of the fantastic four, but he’s been here, on his own, dominating for years. The class, the speed, the heart, the chin, the power, the footwork, the brain, he’s got it all like Leonard had. Not as likeable as Leonard with his arrogance, but I think he gets away with it! He’s a great! We should all look forward to the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, that is the one to watch. In my opinion, Mayweather wins, he is too big, and to slick, but who knows… has Floyd left it to late, does Manny Pacquiao want it more… Let’s wait and see.

I will leave you with some names to watch and some fights to see, hope you didn’t lose me half way through these lot, as you can probably tell I got a bit excited.

Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frasier, George Foreman, Muhammad Ali/ Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Jack Johnson, Floyd Patterson, Jack Dempsey

Also take a look at some of the amateur greats, don’t be miss lead in thinking the pro game means you have progressed from the amateur ranks, some of the best never turn pro, the Cubans and Russians often stay amateur. I will give a few names of boxers I have seen or faced in my career and seen passed videos of, also watch the documentaries Boxeo Cuba or Sons of Cuba, they are a good insight into the ‘amateur’ world.
