...3 out of 4  Wins for Repton !

Last night Senior trainers Gary Cooke and Gary McCarthy took 5 novice Repton seniors to The Manor of Groves Hotel to compete in a Celebrity Charity show.

Gary Cooke sent me the following report...

Aaron Osbourn had his first bout for ReptonBC. He gave his all, put up a very good show but got beat on points. Next up Alex Campbell. Alex made a superb effort and both boxers gave their all. The crowd were up on their feet in appreciation of an excellant bout. The bout was awarded 'Fight of the Night'. Alex won the bout. Next up Rob Wells.Rob gave his all and boxed well against a tough boy from the forces, to give Repton another winner. last Repton boxer up was Tim Abatille. Hi boxed very well and won his bout, against his opponent from the forces. Dissapointment for George Lazarides, who travelled all the way from Kent, to find his opponent made a no show at the weigh-in.

It was a good night for Repton Boxers having won 3 out of 4 bouts, in front of a star studded audience including former World Champs John Conteh, Colin McMillon, Repton Patron Frank Bruno and former Repton boxer, Legend John.H.Stracey.

We have more Boxing action this month including the Semi-finals & Finals of the London ABA's on the 16th March at The Fairfield Halls, Croydon. On the 21st March we will be sending a senior team to Belfast. details of these events will be featured in next weeks blog.

Coming soon....Another feature, I will be starting again on our weekly Blog will be our '10 Rounds with Repton BC'. ...Watch this Space !
